Welcoming Liam Baird to the team...
After a healthy period of growth, Fraser Fire & Security has taken on its sixth member of staff. Fire & Security Engineer, Liam Baird, joined the firm in April and will help to look after our customers across Moray, from his base in Lossiemouth.
In true “team Fraser” style, it’s tradition to welcome new staff by getting to know them with a proper ‘knees-up’, but that’s proved difficult this year, due to COVID restrictions. So instead, we thought we would share a bit about Liam through our website and social channels, which helps not just us get to know him better, but our customers too!
Name: Liam Baird
From: Lossiemouth, Moray
Role: Fire & Security Engineer
Previous role: Fire Alarm Engineer, Moray Fire Protection
I specialise in servicing and installation of fire alarms, emergency lighting and CCTV/Intruder alarms.
What attracted you to Fraser Fire & Security?
The company’s name goes before it; it has a reputation for being reliable and very good at what it does, which is important. But, what’s also important, is enjoying my time at work, which is something that I feel really lucky to have now. My colleagues are all great and have made me feel very welcome. They take their work seriously but are good fun too – I already feel proud to be a part of the team.
Best bits about your new job?
I am learning more and more each day and expanding my knowledge of the industry. It’s really interesting and it’s great to have such a supportive boss.
How I spend my spare time?
I am out on the golf course as much as I can, and I also like going out at the weekend with my pals. I also enjoy watching football especially my team, Glasgow Rangers.
Where do you play golf?
I am a member at Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth.
Blue, of course!
I just love being in my hometown, Lossiemouth. On a nice summer’s day, there’s no place like it.
What do you hope to achieve in your new job? I hope to be the best I possibly can be at my job. I am keen to keep learning and gaining new qualifications and to learn as much as I can from those around me. I’m at quite an early stage in my career, so it’s great to have so much expertise and knowledge around me. I also look forward to sharing my knowledge with others and giving advice and guidance to customers on their fire and security requirements.
Steve Fraser of Fraser Fire & Security comments: “It’s great to have Liam on board and to have a dedicated member of the team based in Moray, where we’ve enjoyed a lot of growth over the last couple of years. Liam will get on just fine. He has a great attitude and is fitting in well with the team. We’re looking forward to working with him and learning from him too."
